From the land, you will discover a fascinating different life altogether. You can rent and try mountain biking, motor biking, ATV ride or horseback riding and visit villages and settlements where you can meet
the friendly people of Boracay and
see their authentic island life.


Some popular Island activities are volleyball, Frisbee, wall climbing, hiking, island trekking and their new attraction, the Zorb.  Other activities include watching flying foxes, playing golf, racing cars and shopping.  For the less adventurous, the very popular Boracay temporary Tattoo or Henna Tattoo is available at almost every corner of the white beach.

Boracay is a small island but packed with unlimited nightlife parties.  You will find many fun things to see like fire dancers, singers and dancers on every club.

BORACAY CALENDAR OF FESTIVALS AND EVENTS

 

There are variety of festivals and events to expect from Boracay Island all year around. Most occur during the High Season or Peak Season (Jan-May, December).   The many events during high season include the International Beach Volleyball Soccer, Frisbee and Skim board Tournaments, Best Bikini and Muscle Man contests and the Paraw Regatta (a race for outrigger sailing boats). Everybody is welcome to join some of these events, just do not forget to register. The exact dates for many of these events are not decided until several months or weeks before they occur.


List of events and festivals that occur the same time each year:

Ati-atihan Festival (January, 2nd or 3rd Sunday) - The Ati-Atihan Festival is a feast held annually in January in honor of the Santo Niño (Infant Jesus) in the island and town of Kalibo, Aklan in the Philippines.  The festival consists of tribal dance and some playing musical instruments music, accompanied by indigenous costumes and weapons, and parade along the street.

Boracay international Fun board Cup (January, 2nd half) - Since 1989, Boracay has been one leg of the Southeast Asia Fun board Cup for windsurfing enthusiasts. Held in waters off Bulabog, on the eastern side of the island.

Yapak Fiesta (February 10 to 11) - At Barangay Yapak, the first of the yearly fiestas held in each of Boracay's three Barangays.

Malay Municipal Fiesta (April 30 to May 1) - A town fiesta at its best.

International Beach Volleyball Tournament (May, 1st or 2nd weekend) every year, Boracay is hosting the International Beach Volleyball Tournament. In 2005, 72 teams from 44 colleges and universities in the Philippines competed in the inter-collegiate tournament.

Dragon Boat Race (May, 1st half)

Parochial Fiesta (May 18 to 19) - for the Holy Rosary Parish, which encompasses the entire Boracay Island.

Manoc-Manoc Fiesta (May 24-25) - another Barangay Fiesta

Balabag Fiesta (December 28-29) - Fiesta at Barangay Balabag

New Year's Eve (December 31) - Fireworks along White Beach and many other events, including sandcastle building contests.

Cockfights - every Sunday - at the Galleria de Boracay Cockpit near D'Mall between the White Beach path and the main road.
